Drumming Bird - Roadkill Poetry Lyrics

Drumming Bird - Roadkill Poetry Lyrics

When you get to know me writing roadkill poetry
For everything you've shown me is still everything I need
I will worship at your alter, I will suffer when I'm missed
Let 'em widen out the highway 'til that's all there ever is

Random raccoons' rabies
Pass the billboard, "save the babies"
Push the boulder, pushing daisies
Now I'm older, I was eighteen

If we never leave each other's sight we'll never age
I will be forever who I am to you inside your gaze
I'm the David in your holy light, I'm wholly unafraid
Only I am beautiful because you know my name

When you get to know me writing roadkill poetry
For everything you've shown me is still everything I need
Best believe I learned the hard way, if you found good love, don't lose it
Body's touching in the hallway, that's what I call Country music

Midwest cutumn midnight
Called your name out from the bedside
Singing "oh, God" like the end times
Making love to make the enzymes

If we never leave each other's sight we'll never age
I will be forever who I am to you inside your gaze
I'm the David in your holy light, I'm wholly unafraid
Only I am beautiful because you know my name

If you called me
From somewhere that I'd never been
Would I falter?
Cnd say, "when will I see you again?"

If we never leave each other's sight we'll never age
I will be forever who I am to you inside your gaze
I'm the David in your holy light, I'm wholly unafraid
Only I am beautiful because you know my name

Because you know my name
My name
Because you know my name
