Hi, I’m Julia McTrill, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Romance, author & composer. ✍️🎵 Storytelling should be multi-sensory. These songs are the 'sonic soul' of my books, capturing the rhythm of the action and the heartbeat of the characters. Read the stories at McTrillbooks.com
Author. Composer. Glitch in the System.
Julia McTrill operates at the intersection of literature and electronic music. By day, she is a software tester breaking code; by night, she builds sci-fi worlds as a novelist and composer.
Her debut novel, Through The Veil (releasing Feb 7, 2026), is a gritty techno-thriller about a fugitive techno-path and the soldier sent to hunt her down. Uniquely, Julia composes an original soundtrack to accompany her writing, treating every song as a narrative chapter. Her musical style blends cinematic orchestral scores with the mechanical textures of industrial pop, rock, and synthwave- designed for readers who want to hear the story as well as read it.
