We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
When the night grows cold
+
But your blood runs warm
+
And everything you touch just melts away and leaves you alone
+
No one understands
+
The noise in your head
+
Such a simple melody playing over and over again
+
But why would you wanna blend in
+
When you are drenched in gold
+
We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
+
It was never far
+
Never out of reach
+
The ember in the dark lies quiet
+
Burning just beneath
+
Isolated, complicated
+
Will we find a way to make it out alive
+
And not feel so alone, oh
+
But why would you wanna blend in
+
When you are drenched in gold
+
We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
You don't have to hide away
+
Your individuality
+
'Cause when I look at you I see that you're just like me
+
A misfit runaway
+
With gold buried underneath
+
We were never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
+
Never ordinary
+
All the weight we carry
+
All the weight we carry
+
Will help us write our story
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
+
In the darkest night, you were born to shine
+
We were never ordinary
