Alex Belser - didn’t think I could change Lyrics

Just changed a tire up on my Rarri
Ridin' in a Tesla gotta recharge it
They say it's fake but I put my heart in
Grew up so fast had to think where I started
Dropped my first song didn't think that they knew
Then I found my first fans at my high school
Got myself on TikTok I wanted to show
My songs to the world just to get a follow

Only 15 years old when I started the music
I had people sayin' I didn't go through it
But all these past traumas did somethin' to me
Wanted me to act like I didn't want to be
Tellin' me to be someone who's different
Had to stay myself keepin' my image
All of my DM's talkin' this and that
Try to say I'm wrong but really they sad

Put out my first album "Love & People"
Thought I was as good as other rappers was equal
Didn't know it then but I still had to learn
How to write songs so the tables would turn
Had opposition but kept up the grit
Almost got to me I wanted to quit
Now I had to learn that I needed the hit
Wasn't instant success fame I thought I would get

Broken lines first but I figured it out
When I felt down took a different route
Still do it for love I don't do it for clout
Cause that's what my whole life has been about
Still can't get it past me still caught in the time
Where all I had was hate still stuck in my mind
Knew now that it's over should put it behind me
But it keeps feelin' like it's right beside me

Wanted the fame cause I seeked validation
Never had enough it was complicated
Lost in my head in every situation
Wrote "OVERTHOUGHTS" cause I needed to say it
Got fame in my face but I can't lose myself
Put in too much effort to be someone else
Had to ignore all the opps up in my face
But then couldn't take no advice learn from mistakes

The numbers so high still thought they were low
Worked on myself cause I needed to grow
Feel outta love wouldn't pick up the phone
Got myself down cause I felt so alone
Then I found what I wanted I got myself back
Had to relax couldn't get too attached
Built up a fan base and they could relate
To the things that I've been through no longer just hate

Went up on stage for the first time I felt
That I truly made it was worth what I dealt
Fell in love with writing cause I could let out
My thoughts and emotions times I felt the doubt
My first concert fans chanted my name
Dressed in designer had on my gold chain
Jumped in the crowd girls they fell in love
That's why I wrote a song called "Rizz Up"

Two months later went viral online
Blew up on my Instagram 1K to 9
Then I dropped a song called it "Somebody's Someone"
Was about loneliness tryin' to get em
Still struggle with comparing myself to others
Only saw above me one after another
Thought that I would never have their success
Haters talked down they said "give it a rest"

I got 10K streams on my top song
Felt in my head that I'm finally strong
My coach told me that one day I will be famous
He said that there'll be someday where I make it
Poeple told me to but I'm never changin'
Tellin' myself yeah that I'm never fadin'
Fought through the stress when I had people hatin'
Learned to ignore now it couldn't phase me

So much pressure didn't think I could handle
Realized I need to see life from a new angle
Was stuck in mind couldn't get though the past
Then my homie came he called and asked
Are you alright can you handle the pain?
Called him back told him I was ok
He said that there is sunshine after the rain
I was in my old ways didn't think I could change
