Andiroo - Our Future Lyrics

Imagine a world where everyone is normal
No variety, the most exciting thing is a black hole
Living in outer space, where we can't reach
Every face is the same, no personality
Imagine a world where everyone is like the other
Doin our day to day tasks feeding our daughters
And our family and going to our day to day jobs
9 to 5, it's not exciting, but it's what we're taught
Imagine a world where all we teach our children
Is to do well in school, so they can have a career
Telling them they'll be homeless
If they don't have good grades
Everything depends on school
They can't just be kids
Imagine a world where there's no talent
Kids sittin around on their asses
Checking their balance
In their bank accounts
So they can find the next game to buy
It's rare to see a child who's playing outside
If we lead on our children doing everything we did
There won't be anything left, there won't be kids
Just smaller, dumber, small people
Doing adult things
Who have nothing for them in life
Not chasing their dreams
We must stop this madness
Before the generation below us is
Nothing but sadness
These 7 year olds who already have phones
With their parents wondering
Why they are acting like drones
Speaking of drones
That's how they'll explore the outside
Just spend a thousand dollars
On a computer that flies
And they'll watch it from their phone being amazed
They've never seen an animal so they are phased
Listen up millennials, is this what you want
Thin skinned, rich kids with money to flaunt
From their mommy and daddy
Who gave em their allowance
Never having to work a day in their life
It's nonsense!

NASA, mankind is about to
Discover extraterrestrial life
This was stated by the spokesman of the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration
During one of the last hearings of the
Committee for Science, Space and Technology
Of the United States
Are you ready for disclosure

Take it a few years, they're in high school
Drugs taking over kids
It's what they do to be cool
Or is it really that
Or an antidepressant
Look at it now, school is hell and it's bent
When you overload students with the homework
5 hours a day, it stomps them to the curb
It's more than you think, but it's okay
Cause the "kids will just have to grow up one day"
And when they're adults
They won't know what to do
Our whole life we were learning what's 2+2
Celebrating that we're out of school
If that even happens every single kid is a tool
Finding out the things we need to do in life
Never happens, that's why kids
Cut themselves with a knife
Yeah I understand that's a really touchy subject
But how can I help it
When these kids are treated like objects
So I only have one thing to say to all the parents
If you don't focus on our future
And how we will grow up
It won't be pretty for us and it won't be good
We'll all be poor and living in the hood
Do you really think we wanna have our kids
Not knowing what we're doin
And if we're gonna afford to pay the rent
And the inevitable death that's actually
Sooner than it should be
I may be exaggerating
