Arbitrator US - Plague Worship Lyrics

A crown is dawned
Heads are bowed beneath it's weight
And every knee is bent
In reverence and decay

The rot is taking hold
In chapels built of blighted bones
Sanctuary in the weak and the old
A god born, as foretold
Of that by which we're overthrown
Laying claim from within every soul

Baptized in the flood of a virus
Anointed by its dregs
While acolytes cloaked in putrid pelts
Collect each tithe of flesh
Redemption for the pious
Whose faith is made to spread
Those who would offer up themselves
And all their dearest friends

A crown is dawned
As the weeping congregate
Their every tear communion
To ever-thirsting plagues

A world is drowned
In these oceans of decay
Our every prayer falls silent
As we are washed away

Praise sung by those we've silenced
Through lungs breathing their last
They stagger and they falter through carrion and ash

The air on which we choke
From pulpits redefined as thrones
Painting the lies that spill forth from tender throats
With every bitter stroke
Death sentences redressed as poems
Binding together those whom our doctrines broke

Slaves, now, to our messiah
The age of man has passed
Now piled upon the altar
In a putrid blackened mass

Slaves, now, to their defilers
The faithful now the chaff
Their deaths to be exalted
Their prayers bring their collapse

A crown is dawned
Heads are bowed beneath its weight
And every knee is bent
In reverence and decay

The faith by which we're led
In every ragged, labored breath
Evangelism in diseases that we spread
The devils we reject
Deliver us from welcome death
Resuming cycles we would have brought to rest

A world is drowned
In these oceans of decay
Our every prayer falls silent
As we're washed away

A king is crowned
As a kingdom's laid to waste
Our every prayer is answered
With the ending of an age
