"Hello John, let's go out for a walk
Just hold my hand and I'll float down the sidewalk
I'll bring our books, we'll lay down on the grass"
She always saves a glance right after class
It's OK, I'll be fine Saturday
Until then, I can't say
Can't stop thinking about the the one who talks to me everyday
And it can be in the simplest of ways
I see her smile my hand shakes as I wave
I even love the way she wears her socks
Stretched up high with hearts and keys and locks
What can I do?
She'll never know all I can do
I'd make her happy, have so much fun
Because the knots that she's tied in my stomach can't be undone
