I once was told
In the south of France
The wealth of all
The Arabian dance
They came around
From distant lands
To take a part in the Arabian dance
And the music starts to play
And the dancers start to sway in the sand
And if you step out of line
There's only one thing that you'll find
The back of a hand
Now there's a change in time
The rhythm moves
To a subtle touch of the blues
But the dancers carry on
Into the sunset
Where there is no one to comment
And in the highest of their day
They still remain to stay untouched
But in the streets throughout the town
The locals gather 'round at the scene
And in the final round
For the golden crown
Behind the veil
In the sand
In the desert land
Arabian dance
