To whom could I tell my worries,
who would hear my cries?
No one inclines ear unto my wailing,
my shouting is all in vain.
Sadness draws upon me a cover so black.
O, who could deliver me, give the strength I lack?
My life is spent with much grief,
and my years with endless sighing.
Who is to comfort my heart,
where will I find my solace?
Unexplored are the ways of the Lord,
through the darkest valleys He leads us into the light.
O Lord, hear the voice of my supplication.
Be not silent to me, answer to my moaning.
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord:
my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
