White from the mouth of the street
Like a giant flashlight
Cracks forming beneath my feet
Running into the night
Ash raining onto my head
Makes my bones feel light
It's sure getting hot in my bed
Wish my clothes weren't so tight
I can't see too far, but I can tell that I've overstayed
This ocean view is just tar
And pardon me, but this steak is a bit charred
And I don't know why I keep seeing stars
This is quite a dry wet bar
I haven't had much water this week
Must be short at the stores
Didn't have much fun on the beach
Not much left on the shores
I have a hard time falling asleep
Everything seems to glow
I have a hard time finding the streets
When the wind starts to blow
I've lost my thoughts, can I help you find yours?
These rolling hills are just sand
There are no more pills in my hand
I get the feeling that something's not right
It's strange how the city glows at night
