Caught up in Winter's Glow
In the bloom of a new dawn I marvel
The sunlight hits the snow
And a throw of crystals dares to sparkle
Here in the stifling cold
I breathe in the crisp cool air, my eyes closed
The wind blows through my hair
As the snow falls from the dancing tree tops
A single sparrow
Mild were the days before the last goodbye
Barren the branches, yet still full of life
You rose with the first glance of the sun
To join the birds of song
Under the mistletoe
I'm surrounded by a holy presence
What's hidden down below
'Neath this solid crust of ice, I shatter
O let my soul rejoice
Let this grieving find release with ardor
A kiss from heaven
Over the meadows, in the dead of night
Ran a lark's anthem to declare the flight
You rose to surrender to that song
It called you to be free
You are free
You can dance, you can sing, you can breathe
The sunlight shakes the cold
And bestows its rays of gold
To melt me to the bone
Caught up in Winter's Glow
On the threshold of the day I listen
