d'Andre Sean - Idioms Lyrics

d'Andre Sean - Idioms Lyrics

Mary Jane gone, now there goes my vacation Forget about the things I'm doing under Sedation
Sedan pulled up, the engine was sounding Funny Hit a drug deal, we wasn't exchanging Money
He was trading that soft shit for something Hard cause bourgeois niggas and broke don't Get along
When the apple fall, it's never far from the Tree If pops go to jail, it's destiny for his seed

What if the apple I seen bark up the wrong tree? All bark, no bite, underwether I gleam
I don't know where I'm going, but I know Where I'm coming from
I don't know where I've been, but I know it's a better one
I don't know the f*ck where I'm going, but I Know where I'm coming from

I don't know where I've been, but I know it's a better one
Be careful when you breaking that ice and Watch your head
You can bite the bullet, it cost an arm and a leg
We was cutting corners and beating around the bush

Never got beat for all the shit that I took
Gave to the block, never gave nothing back
With that spilled milk, nigga, I ain't crying over That
Nigga, I ain't crying over that

I ain't crying over that
Or maybe what it really was, a blessing in disguise
In rained and shined, I closed my eyes, I'm still High
I don't know where I'm going, but I know Where I'm coming from

I don't know where I've been, but I know it's a Better one
I don't know the f*ck where I'm going, but I Know where I'm coming from
I don't know where I've been, but I know it's a Better one

Just because we're in the capitalist system Doesn't mean we must love it we remain Slaves

It doesn't mean that while you're a slave you Must love slavery
A conscious slave, while picking cotton on the Plantation, is thinking about how to escape, how to bring freedom
Therefore, just because we're in capitalism doesn't mean we must enjoy it
We have to fight for an equal society. That's Our history

Our people show that we spill blood instinctively to advance humanity
And we have this responsibility to advance America, yes, to a socialist state
From Africans, our oppressor has changed us to colored, to Negro, to this, to that
We understand it's a step

Coming to black had a powerful point, because the point was that we were oppressed because of this color of our skin
And this was racism
But this fight is not just a fight over the color of our skin
A fight for power is a fight for land

When Mr Llewellyn speaks about power, he's talking about land
Our land is Africa
America is not our land It belongs to the American Indians
And we have a right to stand and take a moral Struggle with them

And we don't worry about people being for Things
People want things is incorrect
The point is not to explain the world
The point is to change it

If the people want material things, then we Have a responsibility to tell them that things Are more important than material things
Like freedom
