EXP - Christmas of the 20 Summat (feat. JND) Lyrics
Official

I used to ask Santa Claus for Manta Force
Plus Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle figurines and that, of course
Later I, started asking for albums from rappers more
Remember Rakim's 18th Letter while I played N64
When I was just a lad, my parents made the effort, decorated and
Put the presents out, when we took a nap
I got older, realised Santa Claus was just a fad
And we put gifts under the living room rubber plant
Never understood why people hated sprouts
Probably cos my Dad didn't boil them for 18 hours
Made it down, to the lounge, an excited Ben
I couldn't wait to start Christmas Day... at 5am
Now I've got three nieces with the same attitude
And I'm mad cos I wanna start the day in the afternoon
I'm waking up knackered to a plate of some fatty food
Mumble a humbug and then hum some carol tunes
It's the Christmas of the 20 summat
Not used to getting up at
7 in the morning, tell the kids to watch the telly cos it's
Not like I'm getting nothing But still I effin love it
So I'm getting up to 7 presents, then I'm getting drunk
The Christmas of the 20 summat
I'm probably getting jumpers
A QI annual and then I'll get another
Not like I'm getting nothing I still effin love it
Waking up at 7 open presents, then I'm getting mullered
Generally, I'm loving Christmas, honestly
But last year was something different and it got to me
The only thing upon my wishlist was where and who I'd rather have got to see
Still wanting to swap these gifts properly
Coz I was six thousand miles away at my ex's parents house
Thinkin 'bout my mum an' dad, there without me sharing out
Gifts I bought 'em
It was there that I fathomed my relationship was curtain calling
And it had to be the saddest one I've celebrated
Not because her parents were'n't sound; they were, but when it's failing
You find it difficult to interact and
All I could think of was how I'd love to be in Bradford
Coz when I think of times past; I know I was lucky
Got more than I deserved though my parents didn't have money
I was thankful of my presents; nearly all I remember
And to list em all out would take more than this paper
So I guess what I'm tryna say is
That this year's highly anticipated, but I'm simply stating
All I wanna do this time around is relax with em
And spend time with family unlike last Christmas
