The Figurants - Septic Foe Lyrics
Official

The gas leak made him happy, filled his mind into a circus
Nothing since his wife had died had given him such purpose
As remembering the taste of chocolate, once again
And pretending his daughters arrival's imminent
He watches a home movie just to make sure he's still in it
The brunette one forgets her line and then she had to wing it
The movie ends a different way, each time
In this one, the priest plants a bomb in the wine
"The world's not on right"
Or so someone says
The beach is in backwards
And it's too far to the left
The witch he can see sleeps in the Director's chair
His thoughts line up in sentences, greasy and with typos
He reads them like a menu, choosing random as the night goes
"OK, Susan, something's brewing. You're too near the phone
There's a call coming in that we'd best leave alone
This show gets more confusing, making less sense by the minute
He doesn't know his costars' names or why he's even in it
On "The Sun That Sets on the Nothing Yet"
Someone in a lab coat sneaks onto the set
