He.Raw - The Journey Lyrics

Bbro I'm done
I'm fed up with these motherf*ckers
I have a vision and all I was looking for where artists with the same vision
Producers, rappers, designers
Everybody's a somebody nowadays and all they care about is cash
It's all about the motherf*cking benjamins
Talking bout "doin it for the love of this and that" and blase blah
They don't realize they're prostitutes to their own dreams
But I will open their eyes and I'mma show em they were wrong for turning me the f*ck down
I swear to god I'mma prove em wrong! All of em!

Yeah, listen, let me take you on a journey
Back to my beginnings where things looked a lil blurry
9475 helped me to get sturdy
Of course there was pain but there were things that couldn't hurt me
Uhh, it all started with a feature
In '07 for Lark who also my first believer
We ripped the track apart, at least that's what we thought
Used a headset to record, much more wasn't needed
Yeah, what followed was the next step
Build our home studio in the basement
Next to a toilet and a bath, boiling were the tracks
We recorded for our first mixtape
"No One Hit Wonder" that was the title
Which pretty well summed up what we were striving
For, we made waves way before Tidal
Kept doing what we did man persistence was vital
Only this way we reached the next phase
The feedback was great, no need for rest days
The community realized we were hustling
They loved it, never forgot the people we came up with
That's when officials noticed what we did
Always had in mind one day we gon be big
That's why we pushed forward, had to kick some doors in
To get space for what we were adoring
And we got it, a whole damn apartment
For cheap, now we were 'bout to really get it started
The second mixtape followed "Chapter Two"
We were ahead of our time man and that's the truth
It was a gift but at the same time a curse too
Look at today's rappers, most of them we gave birth to
Back then there was no target audience
People barely listened to rap outta Switzerland
Not to say this was the main argument
But damn it caused a big bump to our bodywork
It is what it was, on to the next page
Forget what could have been look at where we at mayne!
Started taking things serious this year, man the vision is so clear
All the fury and the fear disappeared
And made room for something beautiful to flourish
Stay off drugs, them pharmaceuticals ain't worth it
I say it, I mean it, I'm praying, you fiending
I'm awake, you sleeping, I create, you dreaming
I been reaching out to y'all f*ckers
But you were declining my offers
I made myself look so damn awful
Pushed me to the point of exhaustion
I would like to thank you for nothing
Man you created a monster
My thoughts trickle from my mind when I whisper
They so sick that even a doctor's doctor wouldn't think of
My instinct's the one of a killah, so distinctive
I dismiss any diss that's been spit against me when I lift off
They like to defame my personality, it's a shame
How can I remain the same when everybody is saying
I have changed in so many ways, my life's a white canvas
And they think they ghetto Picassos so they start spraying
They don't give a f*ck about my feelings, well me neither
But they sure will when they hear how I spit ether
Directed at 'em, simple but effective when I'm
Sharing my sentiments in an incredible rhyme pattern
No end is in sight so don't even tryna stop
Cause you'll end up looking like a bull in a china shop
And with all the sincerity and not being cocky
I'm ice cold on the mic but as a rapper I'm fire hot!

Oh, yeah
Enjoy the journey, it's a hell of a ride
I still got love for everyone of you
Didn't wanna make you feel uncomfortable
The door is not closed you can come through
But first I want you to listen to song two
