Homage the Lion Killer - If You Only Knew (feat. Stephanie Kulla) Lyrics

Homage the Lion Killer - If You Only Knew (feat. Stephanie Kulla) Lyrics

She's intelligent, shows attention when she wants to
Hope you're satisfied with the depression that you caused boo
I don't know, maybe my perception's in the wrong view
Ain't no way to tell how much you stress or what you're going through
But why you gotta dodge questions that I'm throwing you?
Amount of trust I possess lessened just from knowing you
All the time and effort I invested in you's old news
Guess that I was only weaving threads into my own noose
Messages turned to vestiges like phone booths
Bridge the precipice dividing wretchedness and lone truth
Honestly I'm too upset with this it won't do
First it's looking bright then every second it's a dull gloom
Need a body that my weapon could put holes through
Romeo and Juliet met death up in a stone tomb
See the blood as it's reflected in the chrome moon
Knowing everything I mentioned is my own doing

If I could speak to you
What would I say?
If you only knew
There was another way

Now don't mistake it like I'm only being judgmental
I love you man I'm just upset you let the drugs get you
So much potential and a great personality
But you needed ways to escape from reality
Sniffing little pills graduated into heroin
Got some meth and coke now you're mixing 'em and pairing 'em
Mother wasn't parenting, hooked it up and shared with him
Couldn't see my friend inside the eyes I was staring in
Eventually we grew apart, things change friends divide
Introduced your habit to a fifteen year old ex of mine
Her parents were different they insist she rehabilitate
You weren't feeling great and the deep depression sealed your fate
In school when I heard that you had died I totally froze
Still don't even know if it was suicide or overdose
Either way I miss you and I hope you're in a better place
You were my best friend that's something that will never change

If I could speak to you
What would I say?
If you only knew
There was another way

I've seen loneliness be the cause of multiple suicides
Seen it get a person to learn to murder and shoot a guy
Who am I to judge or to hold a grudge and be angry with them
If I felt their pain I would find myself in the same position
Who ever prayed for the devil? The one who needs it most
Why do greedy folks collect money and feel the need to boast?
They seem to cope with their loneliness through possessions
But it never works so there's celebrities with depression
Your obsession with your phone's cuz you hate to feel alone
So you post your sadness in a status and you make it known
I make a poem for the same purpose to gain assurance
When there's head's bobbing I feel like I'm not a strange person
Ain't a curse on this earth worse than someone dying
And seeing the grief that it caused and how his mom's crying
Let's try and change ain't as hard as it looks
It's clear Homage is the product of some Vonnegut books
