The solemn glare of autumn
To paint the skyline
In her fiery aurora
And so the crimson foliage
Reflects that beauty
The sempiternal turning
Of the wheel again
'Cause here the wind blows
Remarks the sign
That every wave of ill
Shall end at the shore
The silent caress
Beneath the dusk
Revealing tenderness
Awaits in time now
Here's the emberglow
Here's the firelight
Here's the eventide of violet
And as the falling sun
Yields to moonlight
I too shall fade unto the horizon
You'll find me in these timbers
Through winter's dawning
Where the wind
Remembers my name
This solitary path is
An endless wandering
I'm longing for what I can't
Seem to find in this life
'Cause here the wind blows
Remarks the sign
That every wave of ill
Shall end at the shore
The silent caress
Beneath the dusk
Revealing tenderness
Awaits in time now
Here's the emberglow
Here's the firelight
Here's the eventide of violet
And as the falling sun
Yields to moonlight
I too shall fade unto the horizon
