But then give us feelings of utter distrust
By teaching a system thats wrong and unjust

Yet the government are more guilty than us
They just keep us distracted with the same stuff the media does
Keeping us posted like pictures on the side of a bus
About irrelevant things that dont matter to us
Sweeping their secrets under their rugs
While sleeping with their assistants to increase the odds
Of succeeding in their political plugs
To them we all just a bunch of thugs
Running a muck
Betting on luck
With every buck that we chuck down the slots
Chugging piss til we drop
Drugging up til we clot
Being someone we're not
Even though we pay for their yachts
They still complain that the taxes we pay ain't alot
And when someone like me starts connecting the dots
They point out all the lines we've crossed
To convince us that they're still the boss
That they call the shots

It's easy to blame the government for not receiving a thing that we need
But it takes us as individuals to be better human beings
And work our way to the better end of the street
Yeah I get that we all got beef
We all have that friend that turned into an enemy
The devil inside us affects us all mentally
And implants those little seeds of jealousy
So every step ahead that we take we have to tread carefully
And even treat the people we hate respectfully
Because thats the little deeds that increase our integrity
It's not really that hard to have a little empathy
I get that different situations have different extremities
And it can be hard to solve our selfish discrepancies
As we have the tendency to argue with each other endlessly
Even our politicians up in the embassy
Throw shade at each other fighting for supremacy
We all have an internal need to leave a legacy
And we're all attempting to reach our destiny
And some of us can achieve it splendidly
And others are achieving it recklessly
And need to seek therapy
To help them reach their true potentials successfully
