On the train, I'm on my way back home
The very place that I was raised, where I was grown
And a thought just came across my mind, I'm older now
Perceptions of what used to be has changed the ground
Walking along the pavements and the way it leads
Trees and moss, some flowers planted from new seeds
Though the people, who I recognized are not the same
A thing's for sure, the fact that I left is not to blame
The neighborhood is where I'm from
And where I used to be
The neighborhood is where I learned
These things I see
The neighborhood is familiar
Though very strange to me
The neighborhood is something old
But very new to me (Yeah)
On the train, heading to a place I'm yet to know
But not the place, where I grew up, before (I grew up before)
Feelings that I can't describe, it has occurred to me
For sure, I'm looking forward for the things that I'm 'bout to see (Hey!)
Driving along the highway, towers by my side
The city's looking vibrant to my eyes
Despite the people that I don't know, there's nothing much to hold
I've got my friend, to hold my hand, and guide me where to go
And even though we've moved away, miles from each other
The distances between our homes, would never seem to bother
We may have changed, but we've seen those, and didn't really notice
But locations shift, mindsets switch, we're only growing older
The neighborhood is where I'm from
And where I used to be
The neighborhood is where I learned
These things I see
The neighborhood is familiar
Though very strange to me
The neighborhood is something old
But very new to me
The train of platform two, goes to Central Station
