One dark rainy afternoon on a hillside by a tree
There was a great wind blowin' and the leaves flew into the sea
Just then a ship came in
It was disguised as the stars
The captain shouted then the crew came out carryin' gold
About eighty bars
The first mate had a twinkle in his eye
The captain shot him in the back
Just then came the British fleet
No quarter
Begin the attack
One sunny day in the woods there was a sound falling down
And there's still hope of finding hope in the nightfall of a frown
Still looking up to a world of questions and there's no way to go back
Today is always here
Tomorrow never shows
Yesterday won't cut you no slack
This life is sacred
Nothing can take your freewill from you
But changing tides confuse every ship old and new
With hearts foretold in time
Days will fall back into line
No reason just lunar rhyme
History is working fine
And there's a storm front moving in on a hillside by a tree
And so we know there's somethin' goin' on in this land of piracy
Inside my dreams there are no seams
Back here there's too many lines to breathe
In this age of winter
Colder and colder
'Till we start to freeze
