I've never been perfect
Nobody has
But, When I was a kid
I knew a man called Mr. Perfect
Whenever someone told me
"No one's perfect"
I would say
"Except Mr. Perfect"
But
If we were all perfect
No one would be unique
If we were all perfect
Nothing would be interesting
If we were all perfect
Mr. Perfect wouldn't be so perfect anymore
But most importantly
Harmony
Comes at a cost
Driving down the highway
Picking at the roof of our Ford
Thinking about Mr. Perfect and his perfect life
Trying to get land for his lord
Though he was looking pretty shifty
He was always a funny memory
He always made me feel sorry
About the life I have
I know he's better off in the grave
If we were all perfect
No one would be unique
If we were all perfect
Nothing would be interesting
If we were all perfect
Mr. Perfect wouldn't be so perfect anymore
But most importantly
Harmony
Comes at a cost
I feel like people always expect greatness
But I'm not the greatest
I knew nothing about the world
But when I finally looked around
At the flames, and the chaos
And I discovered something in the wreckage
Mr. Perfect wasn't perfect
He was in fact a wreck
A figment of my imagination
If we were all perfect
Mr. Perfect wouldn't be so perfect anymore
But most importantly
Harmony
Comes at a cost
I wonder what it will be
