LDMI - dissent Lyrics

LDMI - dissent Lyrics

I wonder what point the vices
Will lose the thing that invites you to confide in
At some point, the sketches of the wings get boring
Something deep inside implores you to make it a story
And really, that's the problem I want to address
I'll confess, I'm a sucker for professing like nobody's ever heard it
Crop out of frame and forget the goodbyes
And figure out how the f*ck this thing's supposed to fly
It could take years, and it probably will
And many long nights sitting on the windowsill
Reading Louis L'amour like the ward is a book club
Shaking the reins, back to the wall as if some
Long-last miracle will get you out
They don't go nice to the scream and shout
Won't listen what you're talking about
Soon enough you'll be back up walking around
Please turn your attention to exhibit C
Brain scans of the freak in leash
We could go on weeks just alleging what you think you've seen
But if you won't listen to him, listen to me
The subject in question presents a case
Of chicken to egg mazes that blaze the place
It's hard to tell what can remain a safe space
But I know a solutional face
You might be thinking about efficacy
Teams of doctors in the house of prolificacy
Rehabilitation needs, and the needs are he
And you don't trust him so please trust me

Wouldn't it be nice if we could find the time
To understand the illusion behind the rhyme
Maybe deep looks or something in the lysozyme
Leads folks showcased in the Guggenheim
I guess I'm not positing what hasn't been said
By a thousand different people on the interweb
It's from them that the blood goes red
We're just tired of dread when we're looking ahead
