But when I say you I don't mean one specific person
There is someone in my life I love
But if there's one thing more important than that
Is loving love itself
One thing that's unique about us is our ability to love
And not hate, to love something
To love someone, something, a place, a person
Your mother, your father, your guitar
Just to love in general is so beautiful
That's why I write this ballad of love
Not for myself or for my love
Or for my guitar, or for my mother, my father
I write it for love
That word is so powerful and carries so much with it
