Did You Know:
• Mushroomhead was originally started as a side project in 1993 by prominent band members in the Cleveland area

• group adopted psuedonyms and decided to wear costumes/masks to differentiate themselves from their other projects

• their second show ever was opening for GWAR

• from 1999 to 2009, Mushroomhead had an on-and-off rivalry with Slipknot The feud began (mostly among fans) due to the image similarities between the bands; such as the masks and costumes worn on stage.

• Mushroomhead video director, maskmaker and make-up artist Dave Henson Greathouse competed in Season 4 of the SyFy series "Face Off", a special effects prosthetic makeup reality show competition.

Mushroomhead Quotes:
We have much more, but depending upon size and venue, and just the whole situation - we only, in that instance only - used like half of it. Like the banners and stuff; we have like a whole arena size. It's huge, and we have much bigger stuff.
Skinny

Just from me being into hardcore techno, and writing a lot of it. That was one of the things that got me into sampling, and drum machines, and sequencers in the first place. I was into the hardcore "Gabba music." I started listening to a lot of that in 90 - 92 and you're talking 184 beats per minute (bpm) almost borderline noise. Really aggressive. The rest of these guys hate it, but I was really into it.
Skinny

"R.I.P. Paul Gray, This feud needs to end. Much Love and Respect to the guys in Slipknot".
