My girl always throws paper
When she plays paper, scissors, rock
She's been doing this for years
It no longer comes as a shock
I like watching first-timers
Playing against her at the game
Wondering how long 'til they realize
Her response is always the same
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
Again
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
If you ever see her with her hand flat out
It doesn't mean she wants to shake ya
It means she's involved in a game
That's called rock, scissors, and paper
And she is playing paper
She's always playing paper
When I play against her
I always throw paper too
It's my safest play cuz she knows
That I know her only move
If I dare to throw scissors
She'll frown and call me a villain
And if I throw a rock
She gets so bothered that I am lettin' her win
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
Again
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
If you ever see her with her hand flat out
It doesn't mean she wants to shake ya
It means she's involved in a game
That's called rock, scissors, and paper
And she is playing paper
She's always playing paper
Most folks who watch her play
Wonder why she would do this
When she's got other options
To throw out there if she so chooses
She says the best way to live life
Is to always be consistent
And anybody who questions her
Only makes her more persistent
Randomness is chaos
And she'll never be the one
To bring that kind of anarchy
Into games that should be fun
If you want disorder she says
You get plenty that from real life
And she'll not bring that anywhere near
Her own leisure time
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
Again
Her hand only looks like scissors when she's making the peace sign
And it only looks like a rock when she's ready to fight
If you ever see her with her hand flat out
It doesn't mean she wants to shake ya
It means she's involved in a game
That's called rock, scissors, and paper
And she is playing paper
She's always playing paper
And to anyone who says
Her way of playing
Is a way of playing sloppily
I point out that nobody complains
About people who always choose the same token
When they are playin' Monopoly
I'll take the thimble please
