Twas the early dawn of a Scottish morn'
I strolled down to the Loch
And there she was right before me eyes
A beauty so graceful and fare
I just caught a glimpse as she winked at me
The next thing I knew she was gone
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly-oh-die-day I'm not insane!
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly to this day Nessie remains
So I leaped in the Loch and swam out to her
But was chilled down to the bone
For when I dove down into the depths
Nothing was to be found
Though I tried again and again I failed
Then I began to drown
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly-oh-die-day I'm not insane!
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly to this day Nessie remains
Just like a rock to the bottom I sank
I began to accept my fate
But something below lifted me up
'till I was breathing the morning air
She saved my life then vanished once more
But none shall believe my tale
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly-oh-die-day I'm not insane!
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly to this day Nessie remains
Down to the shore where I ambled everyday
In hopes I would see her again
Though they all say it was nothing more
Than a vision from too many drink
Someday I know I'll be redeemed
And Nessie will come back to me
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly-oh-die-day I'm not insane!
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly to this day Nessie remains
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly-oh-die-day I'm not insane!
Um-didaly-oh-die-day, Um-diddy-day
Um-didaly to this day Nessie remains
