Last stop was Billy's, a small shop on the edge,
Outside, the flag, she could feel the pledge.
He checked every part, didn't miss a beat,
"Just a new belt, let me fix it complete."

When she asked Bill, he said with a grin,
"Twenty bucks... or less... where do we begin?"
She felt a wave of trust, and knew it would stay,
