No Moniker - Spiro Beach Lyrics

No Moniker - Spiro Beach Lyrics
Official

When I could not feel time,
Redondo Beach merely came and passed me by.
My clothes suggest a million little lies.
I play the lyre for my love, it's not a song she'd recognize.
The women all stared with shock on their faces
At me, separated from the human race,
I was a live wire.
I tried to shield myself from all the dismal opinions,
My shadow so visible, so hideous to the world.
Shut down my mind, cut out my heart,
Blot out the sun burning a hole in the sky.
Far from the world, stranded on the rocks
I watch the ships go by and by.
Wait for graces, good things will come in threes.
Slowly like the sea you sing to me,
But we can't live on sympathy.
I cannot speak, I cannot look,
I cannot touch, I cannot f*ck
When you look at me like some awful
Beast, lost to the world to be
I cannot take my place beside you,
So tall I block out the light
Born burned by fire, I encased myself
In ice to sit and wait for it-
The women all stared with shock on their faces
At me, separated from the human race,
I was a live wire.
So I shield myself from all the dismal opinions
My shadow invisible, lost to the hideous world.
