OK Sooner

This Silverado rocket, I-40 Wild West bound
And what's left of my heart's tore up like a Main Street Twister town
Well I wonder if she thinks about or even misses me
Or if she's doing okay out in OKC
She talked about it all senior year
She tossed her cap and got outta here
Got the letter so I let her go
Hammer down headed for the dust bowl now
She's rocking that crop top
Red and white number and name
Of some other guy
Looks like I'm a little too late
Getting there to her
Wish I would've got to Oklahoma sooner
Well I knew I should've chased her
But I took my Tulsa time
And that first semester came and went
And now I'm not sure where I
Fit into the picture, should've been there with her
Yeah I should've done more than call
And she wouldn't be tailgate love-buzzed drunk
Falling for the boys of fall
She talked about it all senior year
She tossed her cap and got out of here
Got the letter so I let her go (let her go)
Hammer down headed for the dust bowl now
She's rocking that crop top
Red and white number and name
Of some other guy
Looks like I'm a little too late
Getting there to her
Wish I would've got to Oklahoma sooner
To Oklahoma Sooner
She talked about it all senior year
She tossed her cap and got out of here
Got the letter so I let her go (let her go)
Hammer down headed for the dust bowl, aw
She's rocking that crop top
Red and white number and name
Of some other guy
Looks like I'm a little too late
Getting there to her
Whoa, yeah I'm just a back home memory to her
Wish I would've got to Oklahoma sooner
(Sooner, sooner, sooner)
To Oklahoma Sooner"
