An empty street at 3 am
I'm walking right in the middle of the road
Everyone's asleep while I'm on my way
On my long way home
Not a single man, not a single car
Only me in the cool breeze
Slowly getting to my house
And taking out my keys
Finding the right one and fitting it it in the key hole
Entering the house and carefully walking up the stairs
Floating through the darkness leaning on the wall trying not to fall
Touching all the stuff around and searching for the door to my flat
Everything's calm oh everything's still
My hand on the handle of the door
But I'm so scared cause a single squeak
Would mean a total war
Can you just be quiet?
Why can't you be quiet?
Oh please just be quiet
We want to sleep!
Oh it's alright nobody woke up
I can happily go to my bed
But then I realise that I'm hungry as f*ck
And I need at least a piece of bread
I get into the kitchen as quietly as I can
And I look for something to eat
But bread is not enough I just need something more
So what about a piece of meat?
Opening the fridge and staring into it for a few minutes
Taking out some random stuff and making up some new recipes
Leaving kitchen full of mess trying to remember where the bathroom is
Turning on the light but even then crashing to something big
Can you just be quiet?
Why can't you be quiet?
Oh please just be quiet
We want to sleep!
Trying to say something clever, something that would hide that I'm drunk
Standing at one spot and just waiting for a little while
Taking out my phone cause I obviously need a flashlight
Setting off to my bedroom but each inch feels like a mile
Eventually I end up in my bed
It was an adventurous night
With my shirt on, with my shoes on
I'm preparing to die
