Rolling into town
Surviving the Apocalypse
All I need to know is
Where the toilet paper is
Wife riding shotgun
Put the gloves on hon
Fighting off tourists is
Part of the problem
I don't know
How long we gotta last
Grab more beer
And put the makeup back
Keeping up the Joneses
While we're stuck in this
You and me gonna keep
The liquor store in business
Back to the pad
And I'm smoking beef jerky
Neighbor's watching close
And he's starting to concern me
Does he want a meal
Or does he want to hurt me
I think he's resisting
My social distancing
Creeping on my fence
And it's not okay
Step six feet back
From my personal space
Even over there
Feels like you're in my face
Now sanitize my fence
Before you leave this place
Hold up brother if you need a hand
Just let me know cuz I'm your man
I don't mean to be so mean
These times are strange
Know what I mean
Kids are going crazy now on spring vacation
Climbing up the walls it's a strange sensation
They've seen all of Netflix and Hulu too
Plus Amazon Prime now there's nothing left to do
How can they survive inside this digital jail then
Kick them outside and make them grow a garden
Pick up the skateboards and go hit the half-pipe
Time to remember what life before TV was like
They look like a dali, dripping off my couch
Gotta read a book and take the garbage out
It's times like these there can be no doubt
This family right here is what it's all about
One more thing though before I go
Keep your heads down now but don't lay low
Remember that together we can weather any storm
I'm sworn to survive with this family of four
But there's room in this heart for more than this tribe
And takes more friends to live than to survive
So don't hoard the paper and stay off the coast
Camp out in your backyard cherish what you love most
Be the best human you can be in these times
Remember your humanity we'll all be just fine
These are not the end times
Things are just strange
This is how we get through overdue change
