PureNote Music Production - The Division of Nauglamir Lyrics

From the halls of stone and forge
Came we forth, the stonewrights' throng
We crafted the gem-set crown, Nauglamír
For King Thingol, whose lust did sear

Beneath the stars, a crown of old
Thingol stood, his gaze turned cold
Could he not see the looming strife
Within his heart, where greed took life

Did he know, could he foresee
The hearts ensnared, the flawed decree
Yet hands that shape must also trust
In Ilúvatar, whose fate is just

Our oath did the Elves affirm
Did their hearts our sorrow learn
A jewel's glare can blind the eye
In deep caverns, where our hearts lie

With each inlay, a fate was sealed
In caverns deep, the truth revealed
A trust betrayed, or a tragic oversight
In the glow of the Silmaril, lost was Eru's light

Did he know, could he foresee
The hearts ensnared, the flawed decree
Yet hands that shape must also trust
In Ilúvatar, whose fate is just

Now sing of the halls, where echoes speak
Of broken bonds and trust that weeps
A tale of grief, as old as the stone
Where each held, the right their own
