The Ravenous - Pages Lyrics
Official

High beams on as I drive through the night
The only source that, separates me from the dark
Radio songs play, in the background
While I wind my way through the rural roads of the past
A reflective, perspective, never been here by myself but I'm connecting
To a part of my inner self, my innocence
Nostalgia mixed with a little bit of bitterness
So I don't wanna say no regrets, just for the sake of saying it
I know this chapter ain't over yet, but I'll refrain from swaying it
Probably shouldn't white this out
No need to, make up what I write about
I flick through, and I watch it as it all comes
Back to me, back to me, go
Waiting for the sun to rise
Been shading down this one road
These pages when they come to life
Then fade into the unknown
De-misters on, I wipe away the fog
From on both, the right and wrong adjust the rear view mirror
Blow away the dust from the page and read, prevent new errors
Should never have written that down or scribbled it out
In that small font thinking that I knew better
I'll write two letters, one addressed to me and the other to whoever
Who better than me to pick apart my dreams with all of these screams
And it's raining now, a hailstorm,wipers on
The loose leaf's drenched and torn, ripped and shredded
Eclipsed by the crystal weather
Can never develop a level of relevant recollections
Can endeavour to better my mental centre intend to enter the room of fate
And stand face to face with fake perfection
And the ink is smudged, it's blurred out but I read what I think is love
Prefer now that I keep in between the lines
Don't overtake or switch lanes when you've seen the fine
Probably shouldn't white this out
No need to, make up what I write about
I flick through, and I watch it as it all comes
Back to me, back to me, go
Waiting for the sun to rise
Been shading down this one road
These pages when they come to life
Then fade into the unknown
Waiting for the sun to rise
Been shading down this one road
These pages when they come to life
Then fade into the unknown
