Safety Concerns - A Tree Made from Paper Lyrics

Put this unruly mess in the drill-press
Add a few too many holes like my skillset
But it's all false saw waves at fault
Disappointing end boss in the borderlands vault
Malt ball consumption is a weekly act of strife
Callous smack brings my preamp back to life
H.O.A. Is just begging for a rap battle
Though thought of conflict makes my bones rattle

We made a tree out of paper in our class
We cut long sheets from an even bigger roll
We painted the sheets with a sponge and brush
We paused together and let it dry as a whole
I alone cut the pieces into strips
Stapled them in their proper places
On the plywood display board by the door
At a right angle to way the window faces

Bury me with my reusable mug
Grown so fond of items intensifying smug
Fate ambiguous like the space cowboy
Late to the party with my newfound toy
Look everyone I found the cure to the blues
Oscillators that cross modulate real smooth
My flanger fluctuates with background groans
Shake and pass me a bottle, Mister Jones

We took the leafs down and painted them red
Then put them back with the stapler slow
We took the leafs off one final time
And then replaced it with some paper snow
We made a tree out of paper in our class
It changed incrementally with the seasons
We made a tree out of paper in our class
Only partially for ironic reasons
