First in your family to be born in the new world
The doctors pull you out of your mother's womb
Living a normal life, nothing odd about it
You don't suspect a thing until your sister slams the door
Then you're falling down with no one to catch you
Only the spirit is there
Your parents try to help but they blame it on spirits
The doctors seem like they don't care
Back in reality, you wonder what happened
The doctors can't tell you because you got there too late
Your family tries to explain, but they don't know the language
Stuck in their tradition, just like the Hmong always seem to be
So when you're falling down and no one can catch you
And only the spirit is there
The doctors know what's wrong but your parents wouldn't give you
The medication you're prescribed
And one day after many more of the falling down
A person shows up at your families' door
They take you away and your mother complains but there's nothing she can do
You have to live with the new family that they've given you
You start to like them but you still want your real family
Luckily one day they reenter your life
Living with them again, they're giving you your medicine
But even that won't help and soon enough you're back falling down
Then you're falling down with no one to catch you
Only the spirit's there
This time it's worse than it normally is
Your fate's up in the air
Away from your family yet again, this time it's something new
They take you to another place to do what they have to do
You can't understand what the nurses say but you hear the words "we'll aid"
The doctors are doing all they can but your reality starts to fade
