Can overcome the tragedy that
Money has brought into our lives of imagined
Separation and resentment for the other
People are special in that they have
Endless supplies of strengths and courage
To overcome the divisions that have plagued them
Since the demagoguery has overtaken

Prejudice and confusion are weapons
Used by those who want to disillusion
The masses from the powers that they have
They don't care if the world is aflame
They don't care if the world is burning
They only want to extend their yearning
For a lot more and all they can gather
Out of pockets that don't really matter

The Socialists will be the ones who bring the US
Down into the gutter where everyone will shudder
But the Capitalists have already brought us there
And left us to die in the wake of what they've taken
