A message loud and clear goes out to my friends and enemies alike
My voice will not be silenced, no longer will I be obscured
By the enormous shadow cast by towers of naught
Helpless and distraught

There will be no more quiet
Nor will there be compromise
Forgotten spirit arise
Ward off this silent demise

Of all the blows a soul may suffer, which leaves the bigger sore?
Being rejected, or being ignored?

I scream my piece in vain, it falls upon deaf ears
The please sounding more eager and desperate as days turn into years

Put of out of mind and dismissed

I pour my pain onto these hateful pages, I bear my soul with a rusty pen
Instead of making for a glorious fountain, the words I bleed go down the drain

Silenced, mistreated, underrated
I'm growing increasingly frustrated

I tried to spread my disease, make it an epidemic
I could not have foreseen
That this apathy would turn out to be the most potent of vaccines
