My mind turns black as it burns. Twisting and turning, searching
I cannot believe what I see, a visible illusion
My eyes cast down to the floor, scrolling and scanning, crossing
Assention every time, leaving the scene disported
My fists turn white in despair, ripping and tearing, breaking
Destroying all in my path, insatiable, inquiring
My knees are broken and bruised, crossing, dregs and debris
Empty, hollow and void, With dreams and hands still empty
Turn around and look into the black, reach inside and hold on to its strands
Closer now it is within your grasp. A lesson learned let everybody know
I refuse to succumb to you, to follow your lies any longer
I refuse to use a stretched substitute and tie you up with no honour
I need you every day conceitedness in self-love
Without you I cannot sustain, messed up and tangled
My head still lays as it hangs no desire, direction
Facing the truth for me, the mirror of feint impression
I brought you into my life in multiple abundance
You bred and spread through my home in times of flock and plenty
Your presence everywhere, your colours so bright and vibrant
You tie up all of the ends to face the day confident
Im searching for you in a darkened place
Closer now I feel your presence strong
With stealthful skill I hunt you in the night
A lesson learned let everybody know
I refuse to succumb to you, to follow your lies any longer
I refuse to use a stretched substitute and tie you up with no honour
The last bit truth nests in time, reality now confronted
The odds of losing is now accepted and well knowing
As the sand slips through the glass my days on earth are numbered
I feel the wrath of time as wasted years are counted
My mind remembers a time I called to you, appeared
I wore you on my wrist, emergencies when needed
I leave this place where I stand messed up and empty
I let it all hang loose in my face, repeated
My shoulder brushes over you so soft
Without, my heart beats like a kick drum
Elasticity, so strong so many times. I tie you up forever no more cries
I refuse to succumb to you, to follow your lies any longer
I refuse to use a stretched substitute and tie you up with no honour
