He woke early in the morning
With his bags ready to go
He runs on over to the station
Just as the train horn starts to blow
Well as he steps on to the platform
Knowing he can barely wait
He looks over and over
For this train's terribly late
So when you're sitting and you're waiting at the station
And you've nothing left to do
Just sit down, ponder my question
Wait for the train or wait for you?
He called and called to no answer
Decided to up and go
But as he sits down on the platform
Oh will this train ever show?
So when you're sitting and you're waiting at the station
And you've nothing left to do
Just sit down, ponder my question
Wait for the train or wait for you?
Well as the train pulls to the station
And opens it's wide wooden doors
The conductor looks, and closes them
For the man who waits no more
So when you're sitting and you're waiting at the station
And you've nothing left to do
Just sit down, ponder my question
Wait for the train or wait for you?
So when you're sitting and you're waiting at the station
And you've nothing left to do
Just sit down, ponder my question
Wait for the train or wait for you?
