A-Train Da Kidd - 6th Grade Lyrics

6th Grade... I didn't have a chain...
6th Grade... I had to elaborate...
6th Grade... I discovered my safe space...
6th Grade, 6th Grade, I finally found an okay...

They say everything starts somewhere
And that it happens for a reason...
I guess I wasn't aware of my minds changing seasons...
Words never really made sense unless I had to read them...
I hated to write, but at some point it started to sink in...
I came to conclusions, I blocked the contusions...
I changed the confusion so it'd be less abusive...
An intrusion so intrusive, dreams that could only be lucid
Hopes that could've been foolish
But I took what I had and said screw it
Now look at who I am, see what I do
I don't copy words, I write whats true...
They say it's meant to be and that I just needed the right cues
Needed the right clues, cuz if you snooze then you lose...
I let the grip get loose, I let the drip come choose
It leaves my lips in tune with a new way to renew...
I rap the blues, moods change like color hues...
I lit up like a fuse, I got up and stopped being cute...
I competed in crazy feuds, the way I flew was all I knew
I didn't do it to amuse, it came quicker than soon
I left that empty room, I emptied my pockets from the beginning
So I could do what I do... I only have one person to thank
A teacher who never let me break
A teacher who kept me safe in a way I can never repay...
She the real MVP, she basically made me
Lifted me outta hole and into the world
Pulled me outta swirl and made it a twirl...
I picked up the paint and created a mural...
I fell in love with what they call poetic justice
Never been through withdrawals when it comes to this budget...
