What do I fear in the dead of the night
I consider the chaos of failure of life
A collapse of ideals that steals the calm
As the reels run out and reveal the harm
Raging regret at my heels like a hound
In a nightmare awake and the devious sound
Of a cardiac ever continuous pound
As a timer reminding to which I am bound
Think about all the nights we lost
Learning about insomnia
Hell, i'm in hell again
I can tell when i'm there
Idle hands sin and err
Bell of the devil's snare
Of your own fault beware
I prayed a sinner's prayer
Faced with your self-despair
Lose hope who enter here
One way out, one way alone
To atone for the shortness of breath
Afore fearsome death
So awaken the flame if you lie
And arise to the task at your hand
At the battle to stand as a witness to might
In yourself come alight, unto
Wakefulness venturing, turn and adventure
In endeavours formidable, spear the cynical
Sear the wound of your wrongs and so be absolved
Think about all the nights we lost
Learning about insomnia
Hell is a hotel here on Earth
Sleep isn't sweeter in a hearse
Think about all the nights we lost
Learning about insomnia
Hell is a hotel here on Earth
Sleeping is sweeter in a hearse
