I'm happy for a second but it all just fades away
I'm tryna eat but all I see is your beautiful face
I try to run I try to run but I can't get away
Everything hurts but people tell me that it's just a phase
I get a pen and paper then I go ahead and write
About all of my feeling and that I am not alright
I start to write about the things that are inside my mind
So if you'll let me can I read you what I wrote last night

So many things that I can't seem to comprehend
You found somebody new you look happy with him
You tell me that I changed you but you say that he did more
When you would say I love you did you even mean those words
I don't know why but I still love you even though it hurts
I don't care if you were bad luck you were a great curse

I just thought that you were so kind
I guess everything was a lie
But if not we ran out of time
I really thought that we could just shine

And after everything I would always send a text
But I remember you would read it but i'm left on read
I understand though cause we're not even together no
I guess I hoped that maybe you would send a little note
And even though you're far away I still write you some poems
I know that you wont read em so I guess i'll never show em
I'll only read them to myself when im all alone
Cause I just wanna feel closer to the one I loved

So many things that I wish I could've said
I miss all of the songs that me and you would sing
And I'm just thinking bout all of the memories
I'm happy that you're happy even though it's not with me
But I will not sit down and just pretend
That I don't want you back inside my life beacsue I do
I really wish that I could have you here inside my room
Cause you know that I miss all of the times that we would spend together

Eating all those sugar cookies and some other snacks
Telling you that you're the only one that makes me laugh
