On a hill far away, the story unfolds
A man with a crown of thorns, the prophecy told
Surrounded by sinners, condemned like the rest
In the middle He hung, on the cross manifest
He bore all our burdens, from birth to the grave
Every step He endured, the life He gave
In His sorrow and anguish, His heart full of woe
He faced death with courage, so His love we'd know
The middle cross, where He took our place
The Savior of the world, with mercy and grace
In the midst of the pain, love was the cost
All eyes were fixed on Jesus, on the middle cross
Forgive them, He prayed, for they know not what they do
As the sky above, it broke through the blue
For every betrayal, every tear He cried
He showed us the Father, in the way that He died
In Gethsemane's garden, alone in the night
He wrestled with sorrow, but chose what's right
Abandoned, rejected, by those He held dear
Yet He walked to the cross, His mission so clear
The middle cross, where love conquered all
From the depths of despair, to the heights we call
No greater love than this, for the lost
Eternal salvation from the middle cross
