It's that time of year again

Like the big kids do
Everyone's going away to their vacation homes
For the holiday's and my birthday
Mom says their a lucky bunch

Cause I get two presents sometimes
Dad says I'm spoiled
But I try to decorate his house
Just as nice as I decorate mommy's

One time I had balloons and a hat
But nobody came to see them
So I just watched them float all by myself
I don't really understand
Why grown ups sometimes look worried
When it's supposed to be a fun time
But I feel it
And it makes me want everyone to smile

I guess all I want for Christmas
Is for everyone to feel happy
Just for a little while
And maybe for my birthday to feel like
Something special too
