It was Christmas Eve and the snow fell slow
We had our Netflix ready for a holiday show
The cocoa was hot and the blankets were tight
But the screen froze up something wasn't right
I checked the router I checked the plugs
I even tried turning it off and on for luck
I peeked outside and guess what I saw
That green furry thief with my modem in his claws
The Grinch stole my wifi he took it away
No streaming for Christmas no movies to play
No Christmas Vacation no signal in sight
The Grinch stole my wifi on a cold winter night
He laughed so loud as he ran down the street
Dragging my connection on his two left feet
I yelled (Hey Grinch, bring it back right now!)
But he disappeared into Whoville somehow
I grabbed my phone but the data was slow
I couldn't even load a hallmark show
So we told stories and sang carols instead
While the Grinch watched The Simpsons in his lair overhead
The Grinch stole my wifi he took it away
No streaming for Christmas no movies to play
No Christmas Vacation no signal in sight
The Grinch stole my wifi on a cold winter night
On Christmas morning what did we see
The modem on the porch tied up in a tree
A note from the Grinch that said alright you win
But next year I'm stealing your Amazon PIN
Now every Christmas we remember the year
When the Grinch took our binge watching cheer
And while we laugh we know deep inside
We'd be just fine without our Wi-Fi at night
The Grinch stole my wifi he took it away
No streaming for Christmas no movies to play
No Christmas Vacation no signal in sight
The Grinch stole my wifi on a cold winter night
So if your connection ever goes dark
Grab some cocoa and light up a spark
Sing a song play a game hold someone tight
Because Christmas still shines without that internet light
The Grinch stole my wifi he took it away
No streaming for Christmas no movies to play
No Christmas Vacation no signal in sight
The Grinch stole my wifi on a cold winter night
