There's a legend that said of a horse snowy white
That possessed all the speed of the winds and the might
But the day came when he too would again only fall
And become then a legend like so many before
There's a myth told of Lore when the mighty took hold
And possessed like the gods all the strength of the bold
But as such time would pass and the strength that he gave would be gone
At those times no more would flags wave
Where you've been is where you've gone to
Who you are is what you have
If you don't know where you're going it's the why that's left unsaid
But if you live your life as someone who's made something of it all
And often you've caught your piece of heaven
You're the answer to the call
There was a story round the fire about a man who sold it all
Down a river for a fortune and he'd lose his mortal soul
And then one day while riding tall they'd come around a bend
And to heaven did he list but he just couldn't get in
Where you've been is where you've gone to
Who you are is what you have
If you don't know where you're going it's the why that's left unsaid
But if you live your life for someone who's made something of it
And often you've caught your piece of heaven
You're the answer to the call
Now about an ageing story of a conqueror king
Who as all the world did cower as a god to all it seemed
And then one day as all his efforts brought his terror to new shores
Reached his last and eternal silence and a ruler was no more
Where you've been is where you've gone to
Who you are is what you have
If you don't know where you're going it's the why that's left unsaid
But if you live your life for someone who's made something of it all then you've caught your piece of heaven
You're the answer to the call
