In a small town hangar, well past the willow trees
Lived Captain Jim with a heart full of dreams
He had a friend, waddling by his side
A little pet penguin, with eyes so wide
They'd take off at dawn in their big shiny plane
Soaring through the skies, come sunshine or rain
Little penguin loved to peek out the window
Watching the world, and the towns far below
Captain Jim and penguin, flyin' high and free
Through the clouds and over the sea
With the wind in their wings and a song in their heart
They traveled the world, right from the start
In icy lands of snow, the penguin felt at home
Sliding on the glaciers, where arctic winds do roam
While Jim set the plane for another round
Penguin played in the snow, then they'd homeward bound
Over golden deserts, where the sunlight beams
Running through the sand like in their wildest dreams
Meeting kids in new towns, teaching them to fly
Sharing tales of courage, beneath the vast blue sky
Captain Jim and penguin, flyin' high and free
Through the clouds and over the sea
With the wind in their wings and a song in their heart
They traveled the world, right from the start
