Then my daughter came along, I'm so proud to be her dad
Man she really kept me going but depression kicked my ass
I was struggling inside, didn't know if I would last
I start drinking out the bottle I didn't even need a glass
Man that liquor slowed me down, cause my life was moving fast
I would drink 151 without no chaser it was bad
Worked the graveyard then I drove to school, trying not to crash
But I couldn't get my lesson, fell asleep in every class
Then I dropped out cause my car broke down, it's now way I could pass
Walked to work without no ride cause I had too much pride to ask
Worked at QT and at RaceTrac, I was really selling gas
Working doubles just to pay my bills it really had me gassed
But I still had dreams of being big from music in the stash
Took a leap of faith and quit my job and I was free at last
