How many times have I been wrong
Hoping no one would catch my fall
Straying far from the rightful path
Before I lost it all
How many times I've let myself go
Down roads I knew wouldn't pay
No treasure or thrill worth the risk
Just deeper into the fray
It's never easy to win on the right side
But leaving the wrong isn't light
For even the darkest roads can seem
Like home when they hold you tight
We all know what's right and wrong
But sometimes it's hard to fight the throng
I won't judge 'cause I've been there too
The most wrong of all in view
How many nights I've wished for peace
While running from my own regret
Chasing shadows that wouldn't cease
In hopes that I could just forget
I've seen the crossroads time and again
And wondered which way I should go
But now I know that the toughest bends
Are the ones that help you grow
It's never easy to win on the right side
But leaving the wrong isn't light
For even the darkest roads can seem
Like home when they hold you tight
We all know what's right and wrong
But sometimes it's hard to fight the throng
I won't judge 'cause I've been there too
The most wrong of all in view
I've walked those crooked roads alone
Now finding truth in every stone
I won't judge you 'cause I once knew
The hardest path is to be true
