Right behind the wishing well
I saw her standing on the softened ground
Counting her pennies with her fingernail
How many wishes can I make?
She holds one up to watch it dance
Tosses it in and wishes for romance
For love and for justice and for honest truth
Ha Ha, I love to make me laugh
When she sings
"I wish for elevator music
And for a full tank of gasoline
I wouldn't mind if I had a pot to piss in, Mister
In fact I wish that my hands were clean
I wish that my hands were clean
The brilliantly shining water in the well
Holds onto wishes as it wished to
While only handing out prizes to the lucky few
She hopes that her wishes com real soon
Feeling romantic I hand her this dandelion
He loves me, she loves me does it really matter, no
So she chews on the stem and tosses the rest on the ground
While singing
I wish for elevator music
And for a full tank of gasoline
I wouldn't mind if I had a pot to piss in, Mister
In fact I wish that my hands were clean
I wish that my hands were clean
